Meet Little Honey and her Family

"These are great books. Anyone who sees one would want them for their children. I especially like the little suggestions at the end of each about what Little Honey learned from her life experiences. We had fun making up some additional lessons learned, sometimes silly ones. “Eat the whole cake, not just the Icing, so you don’t leave fingerprints.” Nayna Campbell Philipsen, JD, PhD, RN, mother and grandmother

A long, long time ago Little Honey lived in a little white house on Digby Road, a dead end street in Baltimore with her big sister Angel, her even bigger sister, Cissy, and her little brother, Baby Tru, not quite 2, along with her Mommy and her Daddy. Little Honey’s Nana sometimes stayed with Little Honey’s family, too.

Meet the creators of Little Honey's Little Adventures
Author: Rachel Louise Eisenhauer
I love writing the Little Honey's Little Adventures books. The stories are true and originated as little bedtime vignettes that I told my children about my growing up in Baltimore in the 1960s. After my children were grown, I began writing the stories in their present form. Later, my sister, Tara, began illustrating each story. We have loved reminiscing about our childhood and working together on such a wonderful, wholesome project. Illustrator: Tara Eisenhauer Ebersole I was so honored that my sister chose me to illustrate her sweet stories based on our own childhood experiences. Photographs of my sister and me, as well as those of my children at the same age, have served as models for many of the illustrations. |
